Green and bliss

My Portrait: If I Were…

If I were a fragrance:

Ylang-Ylang, definitely! A yellow tropical flower from Asia that smells divinely good. It’s sweet, suave… and also aphrodisiac!

If I were a jewel:

A jade ring. I’ve been wearing one for 6 or 7 years. I bought it in a little shop in Turin, Italy.

If I were an object:

A candle. I’ve got heaps at home and I light one up every night.

If I were a face care product:

Rhassoul clay. It’s my all-time favourite clay, and I am used to make myself a mask at least once a week. It leaves my skin soft and clean.

If I were a hair care product:

A DIY hair mask of any type! I like hair masks, and I often make mine with a mix of henne, shikakai, castor oil, coconut oil and essential oil. Results guaranteed!

If I were a vegetal oil:

Coconut oil. My fave! I use it for my skin, for my hair, for my teeth, for cooking. Everywhere, every time!

If I were a face toner:

Rose water, or green tea water that I make myself with a few drops of essential oil.

If I were an essential oil:

Tea tree. Not my favourite smell to be honest, however its benefits are incredible.

If I were a diet:

Vegan/vegetarian. 70% of my diet is essentially fruits and veggies, completed by loads of pulses, grains, seeds and nuts.

If I were a treat:

Raw chocolate (in particular the one from Loving Earth, it is SO GOOD), or Medjool dates stuffed with peanut butter or almond butter. If I eat one, I eat 10!

If I were a dish:

A sweet potato curry with brown rice. Easy to make, healthy, filling, and so delicious!

If I were a fruit:

Banana… or mango! It’s hard to choose.

If I were a superfood:

Chia seeds. I’ve been eating those every single day for the last two years.

If I were a sport:

Barre Body. It’s pretty addictive, I join the class 2-3 times a week. It’s a mix of ballet exercises, yoga and pilates.

If I were a plant:

Aloe Vera. Aloe Vera gel is perfect for skin and hair. It’s my daily serum, and it’s great to deal with sunburns.

If I were an animal:

An elephant. Not too sure why, I just find them beautifully graceful and kind.

If I were a drink:

Herbal tea, liquorice please!

If I were an occupation:

Nutritionist or naturopath, which combines food, well-being, healthy life and balance.

If I were a quote:

I do love quotes, not easy to pick just one. I don’t know the guy really, but his quote has been sitting on my wall for the past two years, and it’s been very encouraging and motivating in many ways:

“Everything you want is on the other side of fear” – Jack Canfield

If I were an amulet:

If that counts, I’d say my third-eye necklace by my favourite jewel designer Monsieur Paris.

If I were a book:

The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari by Robin Sharma. If you haven’t read it yet, do a favour to yourself and read it! Very inspiring.

If I were a hobby:

Cooking. When I’m not eating, I think or talk about what I am going to eat next. Food, food, food!
